| If
you would like to trek I have a personal berber guide, Mohamed, who was
raised in the high Atlas above Ourigane. I have been trekking with him
for 5 years and have taken my son since the age of 3. It is absolutely
beautiful and gives an amazing contrast to city life. If you have children, he can organise mules to take them with local berber muleteers. I do this with my own 6 year old and can highly recommend it. If you wish to do this, please let me know so that I can reserve days with him as he can get very busy. See my guide to prices below. |

| Please note that it is important that you organise your own insurance and I would suggest that all children bring their own helmets as these are not supplied. If you are trekking for more than one night and staying in gites, you will need to bring your own sleeping bags and note that temperatures can drop considerably at night so you should always have warm clothes. Good trekking boots are recommended as the terrain is variable. Depending on the time of year there is snow usually above 3000m. For more adventurous trekkers Mohamed is also very experienced at climbing Jebel Toubkal. | |
